Meet the Street Glide®
The 2022 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® in Rochester is a stripped-down hot-rod touring motorcycle that really speaks to riders who want a modern bagger but also a slammed custom look. The Street Glide® was first introduced in 2006 as a response to the custom bagger scene at that time, which often involved stripping down bikes like the Electra Glide. The Street Glide® was an immediate hit. It’s remained popular ever since, and Harley-Davidson® offers riders interested in this model several options. There’s the standard Street Glide®, which is the focal point of this review. You also have the option of the Street Glide® Special, which has more high-end accessories and a more powerful engine, and new for this model year is the Street Glide® ST, which has more of a sports profile and an even more powerful engine. There’s also a CVO version, which is an even more custom take on the Special but with the 117 engine.
What’s New for 2022
The Street Glide® is a very popular model. There were some slight revisions the previous model year to improve the console, and there are no notable changes that are specific to this model for the 2022 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® in Rochester. There is, however, a platform update. All Grand American Touring models now have electronically linked brakes as standard equipment. Harley-Davidson® has also changed up the premium colors. Vivid Black is still standard, but you now have the choice of Midnight Crimson and White Sand Pearl.
Street Glide® Ride Characteristics
The Street Glide® is the counterpart to the Road Glide. The main difference here is that the Street Glide® has the fork-mounted or batwing fairing whereas the Road Glide has the frame-mounted or sharknose fairing. Street Glide® Performance
There are number of powertrain options for the 2022 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® in Rochester. The standard model has the Milwaukee-Eight® 107 V-Twin engine, which provides ample performance for most riders in and near Farmington Dover Sanford Lebanon. You can also have us install an upgrade kit, which brings the performance of the 107 engine up to the 114 engine. However, if the additional performance is important to you, you may want to consider the other Street Glide® models. One of them comes with the 114, and the other two come with the 117, which gives you even more headroom.
